admittiedly late to the party BUT wow! love this artist. heavy as fuck electro with a deep cinematic soundtrack feel..."semi structured data" adds a glitchy electro riddim feel as well . . superb deep, cinematic electro sound palette/soundscapes and heavy beat.some tracks have a glitchy treatment of pads and a good diversity of vibes within. similar to the clone theory releases that I believe the artist was co-creator of which is also excellent ://www.discogs.com/master/1028315-C-Theory-EP1
Favorite track: Semi Structured Data.

A total of twelve new tracks of clean break driven dub-otik madness backed with ghostly melodies floating in a infinite space. This is the post -modern noir of the Electro world creating a sonic space quite undefinable, subtle but unmistakably one that Heuristic Audio owns to himself. The simulacrum of the Electro breaks Blade Runner World.
Professional Mastering by Frankford+Wayne NY City and quality pressing by Brooklyn Phono, NY, no expense spared, vinyl is limited
David Froud has worked with a number of collaborators over the years, with releases going back to the early nineties. His musical influences are many, punk to classical, but many things outside of music also affect his productions. Heuristic audio was first conceived about seven or eight years ago whilst working on another project. The original idea behind this was for him to develop his own sound. To utilize new technology to achieve what he never could in the analogue past. To construct a music/soundtrack that was more personal to him and would reference the past and look to the future.
The sound has been described as dark, minimal electro but really it’s about contrast. Dark with the light, rough beats against smooth textures. Sounds that will work together, sounds that won’t. This means a lot of trial and error, but also has lead to some of the best results coming from chaos.
His first release on Satamile records was the “death of a star” ep in 2004 which marked out firmly where the sound was heading. The follow up ep “layers (light and atmosphere)” a year later was clearly a more textural and minimal take on electro.
Satamile have recently released the debut LP “shaded mind”, ranging from neo-soundtracks to futuristic electro breaks. This is at times richer, deeper and a fuller sounding than earlier work, but also starker and more minimal elsewhere.
Since producing “shaded mind” Heuristic audio has concentrated on developing a live set to represent this work and test out his newest material as as featured on Dave Clarks BBC
Radio show LIVE.

"The Music: This four track EP is the second release from
this DJ turned producer Exploring contemporary electro
sounds with dark and dreamy effects, as well as crunchy,
melodic bass breaks and atmospheric synths, Layers is an
excellent soundtrack to groove to and get lost in. Standout
